Individual Therapy

Individual therapy can help to shift the way you relate to your thoughts and feelings, change old patterns and gain an understanding of how past experiences shape your current behavior. With this understanding meaningful changes can be made.

I am currently available for tele-health individual therapy sessions (video platform)

  • Free 15 minute phone consultation

  • Initial Intake Session: 45-60 minutes (via video chat)

  • Individual psychotherapy; Typically 45 minute sessions, once (or possibly twice) per week, (via video chat)

FAQS

  • How do I get started with therapy?

If you are interested in seeking individual therapy with me, I suggest you set up a 15 minute free phone consultation to see if my services seem like a good match. Please contact me with your phone & email information and we can set up a time to talk.

  • What is your availability?

I currently offer evening appointments Monday-Friday. I also have some weekend availability.

  • Do you accept insurance?

I accept the following insurance plans:

  • Aetna

  • Optum

  • United Health Care

  • Oxford Health Plans

  • Oscar

If you have another insurance plan (not listed above) I accept private pay and I am considered an out-of-network provider.

**Many clients with out-of-network coverage can receive full or partial reimbursement for the cost of therapy sessions through their health insurance. The amount covered will depend on your individual insurance plan.

If requested I can provide you with a statement that has the information required to submit a claim to your insurance company for out of network reimbursement.

  • How do I know if I have out-of-network coverage?

You can call your insurance company to inquire about your out of network coverage and reimbursement for mental health services.

Some questions you may want to ask your insurance provider:

  • Do I have out-of-network coverage for behavioral/mental health services?

  • Do I have an annual deductible? Have I met the deductible? If no, how much has been met?

  • What percentage do you cover for out-of-network mental health providers?

  • Is there a maximum amount you reimburse per visit or per year?

  • Is there a claim form that I must use to submit for reimbursement?

  • How much time do I have to submit a claim after my session?

  • Do I need a pre-authorization? If so, how do I obtain it?

If your insurance company asks for the CPT codes (Current Procedural Terminology), the most common codes used in my practice are:

  • 90791-95 (virtual initial consultation)

  • 90834-95 or 90834-GT (virtual 45 minute session)

  • 90837-95 or 90834-GT (virtual 60 minute session)

*Please note as an out of network provider, I do not directly communicate with insurance companies.

  • What are your fees?

Please reach out to discuss rates (for non insurance clients). I also have a limited amount of spots that are sliding scale.

Payment is due at the time of the appointment.
